Iran: A Huge Protest Carry Out in Mahabad City

Protesters have burned a hotel where an innocent girl committed to suicide, according to the news

On 7 April, a demonstration has reportedly begun in the city of Mahabad in order to protest against the death of a girl who was threatened of rape by an Intelligence Service officer.

Miss. Farinaz Khosravani, 26, has allegedly thrown herself from the window of third floor of Tara hotel in Mahabad, whereas, the citizens believe that the chief of the hotel colluded along with the officer to rape her on 4 May 2015.  

She, a computer engineering, attempted to suicide due to her dignity as the citizens said.

Amjad Hossein Panahi Human rights activist says: hundreds of the Mahabadi citizens injured which estimates more than 50 persons during the protest after dozens of police officers have located in the place of the protest in the city on Thursday. The wounded have been transferred to Imam Khomeini hospital and dozens were arrested at the moment.
