Iran: A Kurdish Theologist Was Sentenced to Five Years Imprisonment

Naser Piri, a Kurdish theologist, was convicted to five years in prison by the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj and taken to Central Sanandaj prison.

Mr. Piri known as �Mamusta� (Supreme Master Ching in Kurdish language) was arrested at the checkpoint at the entrance of Zahedan city on 11 August 2014 and transferred to Iran�s Intelligence Service.

There is not any information hearing by court and charges, rights groups said.

Officials previously detained him and kept in the chambers where goal of inquisition in Sanandaj Intelligence Service detentions about 15 months. The court finally acquited the theologist.
