A prisoner who is identified as Seyed Zahed Husseini was executed by gallows in Central Sanandaj prison on 1 Sep 2015.

He, from Saqqez County in Kurdistan Province, was allegedly sentenced to the death penalty for murder in Iran�s Criminal Court, Human Rights Defenders Association of Kurdistan said. Mr Husseini had been held in the prison about 13 years.

The capital punishment was reportedly carried out by gallows in the yard of Central Sanandaj prison on Tuesday morning.
