An Inmate Commits Suicide in the PrisonAli Mohammadi was transferred to the hospital as a result of constant unstable health condition.

 

Mr. Mohammadi the prisoner jailed in Urmia prison had committed suicide at Thursday night on 6 August 2015 and taken to the hospital according to the news quoted by HRANA.

The inmate already transferred to the solitary confinement just a week ago when he had started a hunger strike.

Iran's Forensics confirmed that he suffered from madness by certain abnormal mental that led him forcibly to intolerance the imprisonment. He started a hunger strike to protest against his sentence and hospitalized due to his unstable health situation two days ago.

He attempted suicide by swallowing lots of pills and medicines as a reliable source said.

Ali Mohammadi, who lived in the capital of Iran, Tehran, was arrested and convicted to the death penalty on the charge of spying in 2009, but the court finally reduced the sentence to 18-year in prison.

"His mental health suffered due to intolerable imprisonment and all discomforts he had undergone in the solitary confinements approximately 15 months", his inmates declared.
