Iran: Judiciary's Officials Flogged a Prisoner in the Court

The flogging penalty was carried out against Jamshid Golandami in Mahabad County, the rights groups said.

Jamshid Golandami was reportedly flogged (250 lashes) in Mahabad Court on 19 August 2015. He is suffering from chronic liver disorders, his relatives declared.
Mr. Golandami has been previously charged with conflicting and injuring a Basiji member of IRGC in Mahabad County, West Azerbaijan Province.
He was arrested on charges of conflicting with the Basiji member by Intelligence Service officials on 28 June 2014, the beaten up man was injured by Mr. Gholandami.
Mr. Gholandami, from Mahabad, has been apparently accused of carrying arms (Kalashnikov), news agencies said.
He was also sentenced to four years in prison and paying off "Blood Money" to the victim as a fine.
Iran's infamous Basij paramilitary force has been gotten a bad rap due to their threat against citizens, a residential said.
He added that we do not forget the violent that conducted by Basiji forces in the four decades. They had sluathered the peaceful demonstrators during the 2009 uprising, who had protested against election's result, in the big cities such as Tehran, Shiraz and Isfahan, as he said to the BCR Group.
Basij known as "The Organization for Mobilization of the Oppressed" is a paramilitary volunteer militia established in 1979 by order of the Islamic Revolution's leader Ayatollah Khomeini.
