The accident allegedly occurred as a result of harassment he has undergone in the Islamic Republic chambers since being arrested. His critical condition has frequently led him into a deep coma, Iran’s authorities denied him the rights of access to medical treatment, medicine and own lawyer as well.

He, 57, suffers from heart and lung disorders, and Edema (an abnormal accumulation of fluid in the interstitium, located beneath the skin and in the cavities of the body) that led him to severe pain.

Although the prison’s officials have been repeatedly requested by Mr. Boroujerdi’s relatives for his treatment and medical caring; they refused it.

Mr. Broujerdi’s relatives have pleaded Human Rights organizations helping him by affirming the rights to access the basic rights such as medical treatment and own lawyer.
