Iran: Two Prisoners Hanged in Mashhad City

Two inmates were hanged by gallows in public around Hafez Square in the city of Mashhad on 9 August 2015.

The dangerous offenders had been allegedly convicted to the death penalty for rape, the execution carried out on the charge of kidnapping and abusing young girls, the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor of Mashhad said. They were arrested about seven months ago.

The offenders R.B, 25, son of Ali-Mohammad and A.N son of Mohammad, 25, so-called "Yellow Wolves" had kidnapped and trapped their victims by a yellow cab intercity, Gholam-Ali Sadeghi said.

They were wanted by Intelligence Division of Iran's National Police Force when three young girls called officials about the rape, he said.

Police had succeeded in grabbing the rapists after two months by Judge Hussaini's direct order, Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) reported.

The court held its charges and indictment by the Deputy of Mashhad Prosecutor Attorney Judge Ali Movahedirad, news agencies said.

The third defendant was arrested based on his accessories" confess, and the case is under examination, according to Iran's judiciary officials quoted by HRANA.
