Following the severe deterioration of Mr. Seyed Hossein Kazemini Boroujerdiís physical condition - this prisoner of conscience who had been forced into accepting serious conditions imposed by the special Court of the Clergy, including a bail in the amount of three hundred million Toomans and bailment by two bail bondsmen, was sent out for a medical leave this morning, Wednesday, January 4th 2017 for a limited time.
Even though the prison term of Mr. Kazemeini Boroujerdi had come to an end by March 2016, and he had to be released at that time, however, not only his request for being released has not been addressed until this date, but also the authorities of the regime had repeatedly refused his requests for a medical leave.

Taking into consideration that Mr. Boroujerdi is serving his eleventh year in prison, and that from the beginning of his imprisonment he was deprived of having access to medications and treatment, he has developed numerous illnesses, including respiratory and heart conditions, and is suffering from the side effects resulting from tortures endured during this long period of imprisonment, and recently his health situation deteriorated and became critical, nevertheless they have just agreed to his medical leave now - and that on conditional basis only.

Considering his urgent condition, we hereby invite specialized doctors in the fields of brain and neurology, cardiology, kidney, respiratory system, orthopedic, ophthalmology and dentistry, to help with his treatment.
