33 Sunni Kurd Prisoners on Death Row

More than 200 of Sunni Kurds prisoners are kept in the prisons of Iran. It is worth noting that the highest ranking of Sunni prisoners is allocated to Rajai Shahr prison with more than 80 prisoners who are serving their imprisonment or awaiting to death.

Sunni prisoners are kept in the prisons in Karaj, Tehran, Sanandaj, Hamedan, Kermanshah, Urmia, Saqqez, Mahabad and Marivan.

However, reports have indicated that the numbers of Sunni prisoners are more than that is mentioned in this report, because the relatives of some prisoners are panicked to publish news of their imprisoned children after they were severely threatened by officials of the regime of Iran.

These 33 Sunni prisoners are finally accused of Moharebeh, Acting against national security and propaganda against the regime of Iran through preaching in public places such as mosques and universities, participating in religious meeting, distribution religious books and CDs, religious holiday�s prayer, funding religious ceremonies and training of seminarian courses after all the persecution and severe torture both physically and psycologically that they have undergone.
