Atena Daemi Was Sentenced to Fourteen Years Imprisonment

Atena Daemi, a civil rights activist, who was arrested by the Revolutionary Guards on 21 Oct 2014 convicted to Fourteen years imprisonment at branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran which chaired by Judge Mohammad Mogheyse.

Atena has reportedly been accused of the charge with propaganda against the regime of Iran, collusion against the regime through holding demonstrations to support Kobani and against execution of Reyhaneh Jabbari, insulting to the Supreme Leader of Iran, blasphemy through listening the music by an Iranian rapper Shahin Najafi, opposition calls ban to the mandatory veiling in the court according to the news received by Campaign to Defend Civil and Political Prisoners in Iran.

She was previously threatened to exile to Gharchak prison in Varamin city that has been refused as her relatives have declared.

The labor children labor activist is kept in Evin prison since her detention in critical condition because of her heart disease, and it is worth noting that she suffers from skin disorders and poor eyesight due to excruciating daily life and torture in the chambers of the prison.

Atena was transferred to solitary confinement at 2-Alef Sepah ward in Evin prison during her interrogation. She was finally taken to the public ward of women after all the persecution and severe torture she has undergone.

Officials have allegedly seized her personal belongings while she was taken to the detention.
