Abdul-Vahed Gomshad Zehi, 19, died in Central Zahedan prison due to lack of medical treatment on 18 May 2015.

Abdul-Vahed, who lived in the city of Saravan, was allegedly suffered from Bruises in his head that the prison officials had refused him to hospitalize which led him to die.

Officials still have not any positioning on the issue according to the news received by the rights group.

Many reports have cited that hundreds of prisoners suffer from lack of medical care and basic rights as nutrition and welfare in the Republic Islamic prison of Iran.
