 A Woman Prisoner Taken to Solitary Confinement to ExecutionBatool Karimi, 55, being held in Gharchak prison transferred to the solitary confinement on Saturday, 8 August 2015 for possible execution.

Batool, has three children including two sons and a daughter, taken to isolation to await her execution as rights groups said.

She, being kept in the prison about four years, was reportedly convicted to the death penalty for posing drugs.

The offender has been allegedly taken to the solitary confinement in the Ghezel Hesar prison for imminent execution.

Calling on the Iranian authorities to halt the execution immediately and unconditionally.

Calling on them to ensure that Batool Karimi is protected from torture and other ill-treatment, including prolonged solitary confinement, which violates the prohibition of torture and other ill-treatment.
