According to recent news, Hamid Samie was executed by hanging in Rajai Shahr prison on November 4, 2015.

The executed dual citizen of Iran and the USA had been reportedly sentenced to death at Branch 71 of the criminal court in Tehran for alleged charges of murder that occured in California on 2008.

He was sentenced to capital punishment as per the victim's family's demands, Iran Human Rights organization said.
