Iran: Five Civil Activists Sentenced to 50 Years and Nine Months Imprisonment

Atena Daemi, a civil rights activist, who is kept in the ward of women (Neswan) in Evin prison was convicted to 14 years imprisonment at branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court which chaired by Judge Mogheyse.

Atena Faraghdani, a cartoonist and children rights activist, who is kept in ward 2-Alef Sepah in Evin prison sentenced to 12 years and nine months imprisonment by Judge Salavati in the Revolutionary Court that the seven years of the verdict will be imposed her according to the article 134 of the Islamic Penal Code.

Omid Alishenas who is kept in ward eight in Evin prison sentenced to 10 years imprisonment at branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court which chaired by Judge Mogheyse and Asso Rostami was convicted to seven years imprisonment by the same judge at the same court according to the news received by the Campaign to Defend Civil and Political Prisoners in Iran.

Ali Noori who has been detained during the demonstration to support Kobani on 7 Dec 2014 convicted to seven years imprisonment. He was released on the bail of 50 Million Tomans after having few months at ward 2-Alef Sepah in Evin prison.
