November 14, Tehran: A TWEET STORM begins for the release of Iranian prisoners of conscience who are on indefinite hunger strikes.

"We are having a Tweet Storm in support of political prisoners on hunger strike. It begins on November 14th and peaks at 20:00 Tehran time (18:30 London time). Human rights activists in Iran and around the world call on Iranians and the international community to join the movement with the hashtag

#Iran_HungerStrike.

Eight political prisoners are on indefinite hunger strikes in Iranian prisons reportedly in protest to the government's unjust treatment of citizens and violation of human rights. The prisoners' health has deteriorated since the hunger strike, according to local sources.

Authorities retaliate against the hunger striking prisoners by denying them their basic prisoner rights, like making phone calls, receiving visitors, and accessing adequate medical care.

Human rights activists ask netizens to join the movement in support of these political prisoners. Their names are: Mohammad Ali Taheri, Arash Sadeghi, Mehdi Rajabian, Hossein Rajabian, Rasoul Razavi, Morteza Moradpour, Vahid Sayadi and Ali Shariati. The names of these prisoners of conscience have been confirmed by the human rights news agency HRANA.
