Saeed Husseinzadeh Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

Iran's Appeal Court held its charges against Mohammad-Saeed Husseinzadeh as imprisonment at Branch 36 chaired by Judge Seyed Ahmad Zargar.

Previously, Mr. Husseinzadeh was allegedly sentenced to seven years in prison at Branch 28 in the Islamic Revolutionary Court wich chaired by Judge Mohammad Mogheyseh, confirmed by the Appeal Court.

He accused of "attending the demonstration", "collusion" and "insulting to the Supreme Leader of IRI" in the court on 15 March 2015. Mr. Husseinzadeh has been in public Wards eight and seven at the notorious Evin prison since the arrest.

Officials had formerly refused his conditional release on the bail, despite the court decided temporary release on the bail of 30 million Tomans (10,000 $), according to the reliable sources.

He suffers from breathing disorders, arthritis, rheumatism and digestive disorders, his inmates declared.

Mr. Husseinzadeh was admitted to the hospital outside the prison after a heart attack as a result of the breathing problems on 17 June 2015. He had been handcuffed and taken to the hospital, in the formal prisoner's dress. 

The civil rights activist has been arrested by IRGC officials at his house on 27 Sep 2014 and taken to the solitary confinement (2-A Sepah) at Evin prison.
